Some days, I'm glad someone invented ebooks. I found Patricia Correll's Late Summer, Early Spring two years ago. Had I bought it just as a paperback back then, it would be in ragged shreds by now. Instead, the paperback sits on my shelf, taken down and read every so often, while the ebook sees the … [Read more...] about I’ve Been Reading: Late Summer, Early Spring by Patricia Correll
Where I share my favourite reads...
I write all day long and I read a lot, but reviewing - whether on amazon or on Goodreads or anywhere else - makes me uncomfortable. I suppose I come at it from the writer's side, where even a good review can hurt like hell and make you question your ability to string words together and tell a story.

Not only do I get to read little snatches of what other writers are up to - and get feedback and first impressions for bits of my own stories - I'm also tempted to try new authors … [Read more...] about I’ve Been Reading: Melusine’s Cats by Chris Quinton
All of Kate Pavelle's books share one aspect that I particularly love: they allow me glimpses into environments and circumstances I know little to nothing about. Settings that are just that bit different from the traditional offerings of college, office, coffeeshop, restaurant or rodeo. Don't get me … [Read more...] about I’ve Been Reading: Lucky Starflowers by Kate Pavelle
