It’s Sunday. It’s freezing outside and I have far too much work. So, of course, I’m hibernating and making the most of the weekend and the fact that the sixth book in Charlie Cochrane’s Cambridge Fellows Mysteries series has just been reissued.
It sounds ridiculous, I know, but I only got around to reading Lessons in Love last month. Followed by the other ten available volumes in very short order. I gobbled up every bit of Jonty and Orlando I could find in the middle of a hectic work schedule and was rather upset when I realised that three books were missing from the middle, as the first eight were in the process of being reissued. So, of course, I started reading from the beginning again, happy to find book 6, Lessons in Seduction, pop up on my kindle. I’m ridiculously easy to please, I know.
So between writing Starstruck, reading Lessons in Seduction, and knitting a jumper from that gorgeous blue wool I picked up in Iona, my Sunday is sorted. I even managed to fit in a walk while the sun was out, something that’s desperately needed to combat the excess of carbs consumed over Christmas.
My one problem today is said jumper. Because as I work my way up the back, I’m wondering whether I’m not liking the “wrong side” of the pattern better than the right side. And since this isn’t a reversible kind of garment, I’ll have to decide at some point which way around I want to wear it. Decisions, decisions…. not as easy as it sounds. 🙂
