Good afternoon, snippeteers! Another busy, productive week, another project put to bed, another well-deserved Saturday of words and knitting… with a side issue of needing to fix a blocked drain, but hey, life can’t be just all fiction, can it?
On the snippet front we’re still with Starstruck, and Matisse is finally on the way home after a long concer tour. He’s only seen Josh once in twelve weeks, and this is starting to bother him for a number of reasons. He phones Josh while he’s waiting to board his plane and Josh hopes a bit of teasing will help them get over the last few hours.
“I may have to re-think my concert schedules. Five weeks without is…”
Josh’s voice strangled on something that could have been a laugh. Or a groan. “You may be right.”
A rustling sound told of Josh sitting up in bed, probably punching the pillows into a pile as he often did. “You realise I won’t sleep anymore now, either.”
“Don’t be. I’ll lie here and imagine you next to me.”
Matisse found his mind suddenly working overtime. “That sounds boring. How about… on top of you? Or underneath you? Wouldn’t that be much more exciting?”
“If that’s what you think, you’ve got a lot to learn.”
