December is a month of both looking forward to the new year, and looking back at the old one, for planning new adventures and for making time to visit old friends. And – as it turns out – my blog posts this month have a good helping of both new faces and old, familiar characters. And it seems I’m not the only one who likes to go back and revisit much loved stories. Thianna Durston, who is my guest on the blog today, does exactly the same thing. And she’s turned her “re-visit” into a holiday novella for us all to enjoy!
Over five years ago I began a novella for a series that I loved. I knew I wanted it to have more than just one author, as each new author would add flavor to the town, so I invited other authors to write for it. Over the 4 seasons it was live, I wrote several novellas, but my all-time favorite characters were created in that first book, both of them secondary characters. They also quickly became fan favorites much to my delight.
Due to some issues, I had to back off and walk away after the 4th season. It was difficult to let those characters go. Painful, actually. But I had to. And then… last February, I came to an agreement with the publisher of the Corbin’s Bend series. I got rights to all books with LGBT+ main characters for the series and they kept rights to the books with m/f leads. Which means I can publish under a new series name: Corbin’s Bend Pride.
If you’ve ever ‘been’ to Corbin’s Bend, you will know it’s a fictional community in the mountains above Denver where everyone is safe to live a spanking or domestic discipline lifestyle. And I am thrilled to bring LGBTQ+ characters to the town. As I mentioned in the first paragraph, my two favorite characters were created in that first book. While I had written a short story about them in 2013, knowing I would be re-releasing said holiday story, I wanted more. And what those two gave me is simply awesome.
Jonathon and Benjamin were both on board to tell more of their story. So this book I’m here to talk about—3 Holidays for Jon & Ben—is a collection of two novellas, both brand new, and one short story, republished, about three different holiday seasons in their relationship.
They’ve been together for a quarter of a century. Through Benjamin’s military career and Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. Through Jonathon’s trials and tribulations with hiding who he is. Through their move to a town that welcomed them with open arms for who they were. Most of all, though, those years have built one incredible relationship built on respect, love, and a loving discipline relationship.
I hope you fall in love with two of my favorite men, Jonathon and Benjamin, as you see three windows into their world.
More Corbin’s Bend Pride novels will be available next year. Who’s ready to be safe, secure, and spanked in Colorado?

Blurb
If you love Jonathon & Benjamin of Corbin’s Bend, you’ll enjoy the following holiday stories. Each one is from a different time in their relationship.
In Benjamin’s Arms
Jonathon is thrilled for this holiday with Benjamin. It will be the first one since they got together where Ben will be home. He plans to make the most of it. His plans take on a life of their own and before he knows it, their apartment has been holiday’d up. As excited as he is to see Ben, he begins to feel a little strange. Not wanting to ruin their first holiday together, he doesn’t mention it.
Ben has never spanked him before, but if his love puts his health in danger, he’s going to make sure Jonathon knows he is always there for him.
You’ve Been Gifted
Jonathon—overcome with stress—receives an unexpected gift from a Secret Santa and it turns the worst day of the year into possibly the best. Especially when Benjamin sees it.
A Jonathon Carol
The last year has brought about changes for Jonathon and Benjamin, huge changes. Unfortunately, the anniversary of the day they met is once again upon them. If it isn’t for the fact Ben is out of town and four ghosts are plaguing Jonathon’s dreams, the holiday might be like every one before it. If the Corbin’s Bend ghosts have their way, this holiday is going to turn everything right side up.
About Thianna Durston
Thianna Durston is a writer by day and supernova by night. Or at least that’s what the faeries tell her. And who is she to deny those pesky cough lovely little creatures?
She lives in the Pacific Northwest, though her heart belongs elsewhere. In the meantime, until she can return to the place she calls home, she happily lives in a city that still thinks it’s a small town. Thankfully, it has given her muse lots of amusing places to start a story.
