Feels like the first real day of spring… from the moment I found a link to the song below in my inbox, courtesy of an online friend, to this year’s first lunch in the garden.
Warm-ish, provided you wrap up a little, breezy, colourful and – most of all – sunny from one end of the day to the other, this was the sort of day where I wanted to take the toy car out, drop the roof and go cruising. And the song, classic top down music, was only making it better.
I didn’t really get the chance, but at least I got to use it as writing inspiration. Oyster Run, which follows on from Job Hunt and was sketched during NaNoWriMo, has just the right setting to go with the music. So I mentally spent a day in Whitstable before driving off into the Weald and finding drugs and counterfeit money…
Some days I just love being a writer!
